At What Point Should Someone Be Referred To The Counseling Center? The Counseling Center works with people who have completed inpatient rehab programs and have reached a point where they can reside at home but seek ongoing support for sobriety and mental health. If you would like to refer a patient to us, they need to be: A minimum of 14 years old Done detoxing from alcohol and/or drugs Medically stable Require expert treatment for sustaining sobriety or dealing with mental health disorders Dedicated to engage in mental health sessions with counselors to examine substance use and mental disorders
Will Referrals Be Kept Private?Yes! Our trained personnel maintain the privacy of all patient communications and documentation. We only talk about their care with them, you as their medical provider, and their appointed family members.
What Should My Patient And I Look For After Placing A Referral? If you reach out to The Counseling Center, someone will correspond to you immediately, regardless of the hour or day. We’ll discuss if our treatments make sense for the patient’s current needs or if they ought to seek out a different type of treatment for their present point of substance use or mental health rehab. If we decide The Counseling Center at Middlesex is the right option for them, we’ll arrange a psychological assessment and talk about their insurance coverage and payment options. After this is done, we’ll make a recommendation on the right course of action for them and enroll them in one of our adaptable outpatient programs.
